Set your vision
Updated May 20262 min read

Your vision is the one-sentence answer to "what kind of life is this all for?" — the steady star above the quarterly objectives. IdealWeek gives you three doors into the Vision screen so you can write or revise it whenever a moment of clarity strikes.
From the home screen vision circle
- Open the home screen. A small circular vision badge sits in the app
bar, just under the menu icon.
Home app bar with the vision circle - Tap the vision circle. The Vision screen slides in. If you haven't
set a vision yet, you'll land on the empty state with a prompt to get
started.
Vision screen open with a placeholder statement - Tap the statement to open the editor, type your vision, and save.

From the sidebar menu
- Open the sidebar by tapping the menu icon in the top-right of any main screen.
- Tap Vision. Same Vision screen opens, same editor.

Tips
- Keep the statement short — one or two sentences. The screen also shows your core values; they sit better as labels next to a tight statement than as competition for a long one.
- The vision is editable any time. Don't worry about getting the wording perfect on the first pass.
