Create a key result
Updated May 20262 min read

A key result is the measurable signal that an objective is making progress. You can add one from three places: the QuickPlus dial (any screen), the Key Results screen for an objective, or directly while editing the objective.
From the QuickPlus dial
- Tap the + at the centre of the bottom navigation.
Floating + button on the bottom nav - Pick Key Result in the dial. You'll be prompted to choose which
objective the new key result belongs to.
QuickPlus dial with Key Result option highlighted - Pick the parent objective, type a title, and choose how it's measured
(a number, a percentage, or a binary done/not-done). Tap the check
mark to save.

From the Key Results screen
- Tap an objective card on the home screen, then choose View Key
Results from the context menu.
Home objective context menu with View Key Results highlighted - Tap the + on the Key Results screen to add a new key result for this
objective. The same editor opens with the parent objective preselected.

Already editing the objective? Scroll to the Key results section in the editor and tap Add key result. The new key result is staged with the objective and saved together.
Tips
- Aim for 2–4 key results per objective. Fewer means the objective is underspecified; more means it's really several objectives.
- A key result needs a measurement type up front. Switching between numeric and binary later requires re-entering progress values.
