Enable focus mode on activity start
Updated May 20261 min read
Focus mode is a calmer, full-screen view of a running activity — large timer, optional pomodoro countdown, gentle visual. With this toggle on, hitting Start on a notification skips the home screen and opens straight into Focus.
From settings
- Open Settings (sidebar → Settings).
- Scroll to the Notifications section.
- Toggle on Start Activity with Focus Mode.
Toggle row in settings
Now any notification's Start action launches Focus directly. The toggle has no effect when you start activities from inside the app — those still follow your usual flow.
Tips
- If you start most activities from the QuickPlus dial Quick Start, this toggle is mostly redundant.
- Pair this with Set a check-in reminder and Schedule activity reminders for a notification-driven workday.
