Start a pomodoro session
Updated May 20261 min read

A pomodoro is a fixed focus block — 25 minutes by default — followed by a short break. The IdealWeek launcher pairs it with one of today's activities so the time you spent counts toward a key result.
From the Pomodoro tile
- Open the Motivation screen (sidebar → Motivation).
- Tap the Pomodoro tile.
Pomodoro tile on the Motivation screen - Pick today's activity in the picker.
Activity picker for the pomodoro launcher - Confirm. The Focus screen launches with the pomodoro countdown
running.

Configure duration
- Open Settings → Notifications.
- Tap Pomodoro Duration. Choose Off, 15, 25, 30, 45, or 50 minutes.
The next pomodoro you launch uses the new value.

Tips
- Pomodoro duration Off hides the launcher and lets focus sessions run freely. Use it if the timer pressure is more harmful than helpful.
- The break after a pomodoro is on you — IdealWeek doesn't enforce one.
