Use the breathing tool

Five minutes of deliberate breathing resets the nervous system. The IdealWeek breathing tool gives you a quiet visual to follow, with three classic patterns and a configurable duration.

From the Motivation screen

  1. Open the Motivation screen (sidebar → Motivation).
  2. Tap the Breathing tile.

  3. Pick a pattern. Box (4-4-4-4), 4-7-8, and Coherent (5-5) are the defaults. Optionally adjust the total duration.

  4. Tap Start. The visual expands and contracts in time with the pattern, with a soft tone marking each transition.

Tips

  • The tool runs offline. Mute the system if you don't want the cue tone.
  • Long sessions (10 minutes+) are fine — the visual is built to fade rather than tire your eyes.
