Edit your core values
Updated May 20261 min read

Core values are the few words you'd want a stranger to use to describe how you live. IdealWeek shows up to four of them next to the vision statement, and surfaces matching motivational content when you hit a rough patch.
From the Vision screen
- Open the Vision screen (home app-bar circle or sidebar → Vision).
- Scroll to the Core values section below the vision statement.
Core values section on the Vision screen - Tap a value chip to edit its label, or tap the + chip to add a new value.
- Save to commit the change. The Motivation screen and the Core Values
tool reflect the update immediately.

From the Motivation screen Core Values tool
- Open the sidebar and tap Motivation.
- Tap the Core Values tile. The tool reads your current values and shows their AI-generated declarations.
- Tap Edit to open the same editor as the Vision screen path. Changes
re-flow through both surfaces.

Tips
- Aim for distinct values, not synonyms. "Integrity" and "Honesty" tend to blur — pick the one that captures the most ground.
- Adding a value pushes any AI declaration back to a regenerate state. The next time you open the Core Values tool, declarations refresh.
