Capture an idea
Updated May 20261 min read

Capturing an idea is meant to be cheap — type or speak the seed of it and move on. You can always come back later to expand it into outcomes, challenges, and questions.
From the QuickPlus dial
- Tap the + at the centre of the bottom navigation.
- Pick Idea in the dial.
QuickPlus dial with Idea highlighted - Type a title and an optional short description, then save. The
idea lands in the Drafts section of the Ideas screen.

From the Ideas screen
- Open the sidebar and tap Ideas.
- Tap + in the app bar to open the same idea editor.

With voice input
Tap the microphone in the title field of the idea editor (any path) to dictate. After you finish, the AI Assist button structures the captured text into a title, description, and starting expansion items. See Dictate an idea with voice.
Tips
- The Ideas screen splits new captures into Drafts and Pinned. You can promote a draft to pinned with the context menu — see Pin or unpin an idea.
- An idea with only a title is fine. Don't gate the capture on having details.
